What the seller says

An interesting and beautiful antique book 'The Language and Sentiment of Flowers' Published in 1866 The text is a guide to floriography, the Victorian-era practice of using flowers to communicate sentiments. The cover has lost its colour over time and has some marks, scuffs ect. Coloured flower plate illustrations throughout. The inside cover has writing on. First 2 pages are loose from binding but most are tight. Foxing and discolouration to pages. The illustrations are beautiful and would make lovely art pictures frames.
