Elevate your evening ensemble with this stunning 1950s vintage handbag by the renowned maker Julius Resnick (JR USA). This mid-century treasure features a sophisticated "all-black" aesthetic. The body is crafted from luxurious jet-black satin, meticulously heat-set into crisp knife pleats. Unlike many bags of the era with exposed metal, this piece features a satin-covered frame, providing a seamless and high-end look that highlights the architectural silhouette. The highlight of this piece is the architectural gold-tone frame featuring an ornate, scalloped "fan" clasp. The structured trapeze silhouette and flat top handle make it a perfect companion for weddings, galas, or a night at the theater. Measurements: Width: 9.5" at the widest point (bottom) Height: 8.5" (excluding handle) This bag is in excellent vintage condition. The satin pleats are sharp and have retained their shape beautifully. The fabric-covered frame is intact without fraying. The gold clasp is bright and snaps securely. Interior is clean. There are a few tiny frayed spots on the fabric, and a couple of faint stains about 1" wide on one side. These are shown in the photos, but please note that the photos are enhanced to show detail; to the naked eye, these stains are barely visible. Please review all pictures carefully and ask questions as needed. I am happy to provide additional photos and information as requested. Items are sold in as-found vintage condition. Shipping prices are estimates; any excess shipping charges will be refunded upon request.
