Hello, okay this is a big one. I made this Steel Drum the first one I ever made but more important. I made it with Félix Rohner the inventor of the Handpan in Bern Switzerland at that time somewhere around 1995. He had not invented the hand pan yet he was still only making steel drum's. At the time I asked him to make me a pentatonic Instrument as I had absolutely no technique or melody skills. I've made a little progress but I'm not that kind of a musician anyway, more into rhythm and harmonies. As you can see, the Instrument has been around, but it's still fairly well tuned it's just the G the SoL that's slightly off slightly down a bit, but it still sounds great. I'm selling this with out the stand because that will make it even more complicated to send, or I can send the sand separate separately. I can also make new sticks for you if you want. I can also give it a complete face lift but I kind of like the old rustic look. Really this Instrument could be in a museum because, We're talking big-time history here As I said, I made under the direction of Félix Rohner not long afterwards when he invented the hand pan his whole life changed and as did the world of percussion and music! People have forgotten the Steel drum but the origin of everything. I'm very proud to say that I made this pan under his direction. I made three altogether with my friend AXEL and my dog Judy, who has since passed away of course. So you have the whole story. It's interesting how we live and then we realise that we are in history and wonder what the history books will say.
