A pair of Unitra Tonsil SN50 stereo headphones from 1970s Poland, preserved with their original box. The kind of object that feels like it belongs beside a turntable in a hotel room somewhere behind the Iron Curtain — heavy music, low light, nowhere to be. Designed and manufactured by Unitra Tonsil, the SN50 is a distinctive piece of Polish audio design from the 1970s. Its sculptural over-ear construction, black and silver finish and beautifully graphic original packaging make it as compelling today as a design object as it is a piece of vintage audio equipment. This example comes with its original SN50 presentation box, including the red interior insert.
