An elegant set of 6 “Bow-Tie” dining chairs designed by Ico Parisi and manufactured by Ariberto Colombo in Cantù. The model is defined by its sculptural, flared backrest, often referred to as the “bow-tie” form, which gives the chairs their distinctly light and expressive silhouette. With their tapered legs, refined proportions, and fluid lines, these chairs are a beautiful example of Italian mid-century design. Crafted in light walnut, the chairs retain their original dusty rose velvet upholstery, which adds softness and subtle contrast to the warm tone of the wood. This particular model is rare, well documented, and notably more sculptural in its shaping, with more generous proportions than simpler versions of the chair. The combination of elegant woodwork and original upholstery gives the set a refined but distinctive presence, making it especially well suited to a dining setting while also working beautifully in curated residential or commercial interiors. Condition Report Good vintage condition with light age-related wear. The light walnut frames show some surface wear consistent with age and use. The original dusty rose velvet upholstery remains in good condition overall and shows light signs of age, adding to the character of the set.
